Specialist podiatry treatment at Marple Physio
Our podiatry service combines the latest assessment technology with expert observation and hands-on clinical skills with the aim of providing the highest levels of quality care and the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Footscan® specialist dynamic pressure analysis.
At Marple Physio we are pleased to be able to offer our clients highly specialist gait analysis, which allows a bespoke, objective approach to diagnosing and treating foot issues.
The RSscan footscan® is a dynamic pressure system, which enables the podiatrist to see exactly how your foot functions as you move. Advanced technology reads the pressure and force distribution in your feet at high speed as you walk across the footscan® plate. This advanced technology has the benefit of allowing us to identify dangerous pressure areas before problems develop.
Bespoke high-quality orthotics
Footscan® technology enables us to manufacture bespoke high-quality orthotics – in-shoe devices that correct the foot position to relieve functional or anatomical problems. Our orthotics have a carbon-fibre shell, a lifetime guarantee and are uniquely tailored to fit your individual needs or sporting activities.
If you would like to find out more about the benefits of gait analysis using our specialist footscan®,please call us on 0161 426 0100 or email enquiries@marplephysio.com and one of our podiatry team will be happy to discuss your needs and offer further advice without obligation.

Specialist Children's Podiatry
Our specialist children’s or paediatric podiatry and orthotics offers specialist expertise in children’s musculoskeletal development and congenital, developmental and acquired conditions or injuries that can affect the feet and lower limbs of children and young people.
Children’s unique musculoskeletal systems, which are constantly developing and changing, means that we offer every child a highly individualised and dynamic assessment and treatment to ensure they reach their full potential and to prevent future structural damage.

Your consultation
During your initial consultation you will be able to discuss your condition and the results you are aiming to achieve with one of our highly experienced podiatrists. You will also be given a comprehensive physical evaluation, including biomechanical assessments and gait-analysis. Our podiatrist will fully explain their findings and any diagnosis with you before discussing treatment options, which can usually begin straight away.
Wherever possible, our aim is to work with you to prevent the need for long term intervention; our objective is to identify and address the underlying causes of your discomfort and to equip you with the necessary knowledge and support to help you manage your condition or complete your rehabilitation independently in order to avoid further foot problems or injuries.
Initial consultations are approximately 40 minutes in duration and we would request you wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
In order to offer the most effective podiatry treatment, we always work closely with our specialist physiotherapists and sports massage therapists and will refer you for further medical consultation, if needed.
For those looking to return to fitness safely, we are delighted to recommend qualified personal trainers Ben Potter and Olly Freeman from VIDE Fitness. We are also pleased to be able to offer our clients reflexology as an optional complementary therapy, and are more than happy to discuss any potential benefits of this with you during your treatment or consultation.
